Clip Amputee World Andrea Preview :

Are you an AK (above knee) amputee and want to learn more about the C-Leg?

1.) Introduction

Falling is a major health concern in America, creating over 15,000 deaths annually. Injuries that have occurred during a fall often require treatment and may lead to temporary or even permanent disability.

With most prosthetic knee users concerned about a stumble or a fall, these individuals tend to compensate in their gait and make changes based upon their desire to be as safe as possible. As a result, many prosthetic amputees will prevent their knee from becoming totally straight with each step due a fear of a fall. - This is obviously not ideal and people do not deserve to live in fear of anything as they walk along.
