The fossil of a woolly mammoth was discovered in the midst of a farmer’s field in Michigan

The state of Michigan was working to drain an open field when, at about eight feet in depth, they came across something that resembled wood. This discovery occurred while they were digging. According to the reports in the Detroit Free Press, the farmers quickly realized that they had not hit the wood but rather the bones when they made the discovery.

Are They Referring to a Bone That’s Associated with Dinosaurs? They made contact with the University of Michigan, who then informed Daniel Fisher, who works at the museum of Paleontology at the university. Fisher, upon arriving at the scene, determined that what the farmers had discovered was not the Dinosaur that he had been looking for. That Turned Out To Be A Mammoth.

According to the Free Press, Fisher and his coworker had only one day to find the mammoth’s skeleton because farmers needed to finish their job. Fisher and his coworker were unsuccessful. They found the head of an animal, together with its tusks and vertebrae, as well as its ribs. It’s Possible That Humans Took The Missing Parts Out Of The Skeleton After Killing The Animal So That They Could Eat It.

According to the reports of the Free Press, there have been at least 30 or so more mammoths discovered in the state. This one, Fisher told the paper, could be possibly a Jeffersonian Mammoth – a hybrid that is not as much of the same as a woolly mammoth and not quite a Columbian mammoth, but is still enormous and impressive and is definitely unlike what you’ll find in daily fieldwork.
