A tragic discovery was made in Indonesia after a woman who had gone missing was found inside a giant python.
Farida, a mother of four, disappeared on Thursday while walking to a local market in Kalempang village. When she didn’t return home, her husband, Noni, raised the alarm, and a search effort was launched by worried locals.
On Friday, searchers came across a massive 20-foot-long python in the underbrush. The snake had a large, unusual bulge in its body, raising immediate concerns. Acting quickly, villagers used a machete to carefully cut open the snake's stomach.
Inside, they found Farida's body. It is believed the python attacked by biting her leg, then wrapped around her to suffocate her before swallowing her head-first — a typical behavior for large constrictor snakes.
Disturbing images and videos captured the moment her body was removed from the python. Authorities have withheld the most graphic footage out of respect, though some blurred photos have been released. Farida’s body has been prepared for a religious burial.
