2 - During most teeth implant treatments, a tiny hole is first drilled in the jawbone, where the implant is required to be placed. After the implant is fitted into the hole, the tissue around it is stitched up, and the implant is left to osseointegrate with the bone for a few months.
This period usually varies from patient to patient depending on their general health, healing ability, personal habits and other factors. After the implant surgeon determines that the bone has healed satisfactorily, they will complete the tooth restoration by fitting abutments and prosthetic crowns to the teeth implants.
