As the prevalence of amputations continue to rise around the world, amputee girls everywhere are facing unique challenges. From physical hardships to the psychological implications of having to adjust to a new life, these girls often have to bear the brunt of society's expectations. They must learn to accept their new body and find ways to cope with society's scrutiny as well as their own internal struggles. Perhaps the most difficult obstacle for these girls to overcome is the feeling that their lives have been completely disrupted and that they may not be able to do the same things like before.
Each and every day, there are a countless number of girls around the world who have had to face immense physical and emotional challenges due to being amputees. These courageous young ladies have often had to overcome tremendous adversity with strength and resilience, whether it be by dealing with physical pain or by having to fight through social stigmas. Not only do these young women display immense bravery, but they also serve as an inspiration for many of the other amputees out there, who strive to find the courage to conquer their own struggles. It is this kind of perseverance that inspires us all to achieve success despite our own personal hardships.
