This series of photographs, taken in Florida, shows a heron making a meal of an alligator. This image has shocked wildlife photographers and biologists alike, as there are very few documented cases of birds eating crocodiles or any other large reptile.
Herons are typically fish eaters, so we can’t imagine what drove this hungry heron to catch an alligator for dinner. It just goes to show that Mother Nature is calling the shots, and things that once seemed impossible are indeed possible.
